Rm116 Art Non-Profit
2019-2022
UPDATE: As of March 2022, the RM116 Club has now closed. We appreciate the support from the community in pursuing our goals in uplifting underrepresented youth in the South Seattle community. Though our path was difficult and unprecedented, we have no regrets as long as we were able to help a single person during our time.
Until next time,
Allen, Linda, and Winly.
Our Mantra
Founded by Allen Vu and Linda Chen, two Seattle based artists. The RM116 Club is a non-profit dedicated to supporting underrepresented youth artists in the Seattle area by providing mentorship, workshops, and a physical space to collaborate and work in. The RM116 Club is also dedicated to providing creative services to local businesses, primarily POC businesses who need help with media and marketing content creation.
The name can either be pronounced as "Are-Em 116” or “Room 116.” The name is an homage to classroom 116 at the University of Washington’s School of Arts, this classroom is where the Photo students spend most of their time for classes, workshops, and guest visits.
Local youth and artists are urged to contact Allen via Email if they want to join or talk with the RM116 Club.
